46:1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
9 He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; he burneth the chariot in the fire.
133:1 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!
37:11 … the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.
22:21 Acquaint now thyself with him, and be at peace: thereby good shall come unto thee.
25 Yea, the Almighty shall be thy defence, …
27 Thou shalt make thy prayer unto him, and he shall hear thee, …
28 … and the light shall shine upon thy ways.
29:18 Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.
16:7 When a man’s ways please the Lord, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him.
3:1 My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments;
2 For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee.
9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever.
12:44¶ Jesus cried and said, He that believeth on me, believeth not on me, but on him that sent me.
46 I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.
14:1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
26 … the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
4:1 From whence come wars and fightings among you?
8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you.
10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.
3:16 … where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.
18 … the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.
4:31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:
32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.
1 … in the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the house of the Lord shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow unto it.
2 And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths:
3¶ And he shall judge among many people, and rebuke strong nations afar off; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up a sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.
11:6 The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.
7 They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.
26:12 Lord, thou wilt ordain peace for us:
12:9 Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.
10 Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;
16 Be of the same mind one toward another.
18 If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.
21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.
7:12 … the law of the God of heaven, perfect peace,…
37:37 Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace.
119:165 Great peace have they which love thy law:
13:11 Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.
26:3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee:
SCIENCE & HEALTH WITH KEY TO THE SCRIPTURES
BY MARY BAKER EDDY
Christian scientific practice begins with Christ’s keynote of harmony, “Be not afraid!” Said Job: “The thing which I greatly feared is come upon me.”
Therefore “acquaint now thyself with Him, and be at peace.”
Immortals, or God’s children in divine Science, are one harmonious family; but mortals, or the “children of men” in material sense, are discordant and ofttimes false brethren.
This material world is even now becoming the arena for conflicting forces. On one side there will be discord and dismay; on the other side there will be Science and peace. The breaking up of material beliefs may seem to be famine and pestilence, want and woe, sin, sickness, and death, which assume new phases until their nothingness appears. These disturbances will continue until the end of error, when all discord will be swallowed up in spiritual Truth.
SH 96:31-2 (to 2nd .)
During this final conflict, wicked minds will endeavor to find means by which to accomplish more evil; but those who discern Christian Science will hold crime in check. They will aid in the ejection of error.
The wicked man is not the ruler of his upright neighbor. Let it be understood that success in error is defeat in Truth.
The eastern empires and nations owe their false government to the misconceptions of Deity there prevalent. Tyranny, intolerance, and bloodshed, wherever found, arise from the belief that the infinite is formed after the pattern of mortal personality, passion, and impulse.
To suppose that persecution for righteousness’ sake belongs to the past, and that Christianity today is at peace with the world because it is honored by sects and societies, is to mistake the very nature of religion. Error repeats itself. The trials encountered by prophet, disciple, and apostle, “of whom the world was not worthy,” await, in some form, every pioneer of truth.
SH 330:27-29 (to ,)
Evil is nothing, no thing, mind, nor power. As manifested by mankind it stands for a lie, nothing claiming to be something,…
Human hate has no legitimate mandate and no kingdom.
SH 231:14-16 there (to 2nd .)
…there are no antagonistic powers nor laws, spiritual or material, creating and governing man through perpetual warfare. God is not the author of mortal discords.
If we concede the same reality to discord as to harmony, discord has as lasting a claim upon us as has harmony.
To suppose that God constitutes laws of inharmony is a mistake; discords have no support from nature or divine law, however much is said to the contrary.
It should be thoroughly understood that all men have one Mind, one God and Father, one Life, Truth, and Love. Mankind will become perfect in proportion as this fact becomes apparent, war will cease and the true brotherhood of man will be established.
With one Father, even God, the whole family of man would be brethren; and with one Mind and that God, or good, the brotherhood of man would consist of Love and Truth, and have unity of Principle and spiritual power which constitute divine Science.
One infinite God, good, unifies men and nations; constitutes the brotherhood of man; ends wars; fulfils the Scripture, “Love thy neighbor as thyself;” annihilates pagan and Christian idolatry, — whatever is wrong in social, civil, criminal, political, and religious codes; equalizes the sexes; annuls the curse on man, and leaves nothing that can sin, suffer, be punished or destroyed.
Let us learn of the real and eternal, and prepare for the reign of Spirit, the kingdom of heaven, — the reign and rule of universal harmony, which cannot be lost nor remain forever unseen.

Love must triumph over hate.

The Christian Science Journal
“’Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.’ Here is stated the divine requirement, the perfect pattern for peace.
“To have one’s mind stayed on Principle is to feel the protective and corrective power of Principle in every fiber of one’s being, in every aspect of one’s business, in every position or circumstance in which one may find oneself. When one’s heart is stayed on good, one’s acts conform to that which is good. When one’s life is stayed on God, one expresses the power, adequacy, and dominion of the Christ.
“Fearlessly to face every challenge of mortal mind with the conscious power of God’s presence with man is to feel the precious peace of the Christ-consciousness, the peace which Christ Jesus gave to the world.
“When the heart of any nation is stayed on the Principle that is Love, its acts will conform to the healing truth and thus aid in bringing about world peace; and the heart of a nation but reflects the heart of the individual. How all-important, then, that the heart of everyone be stayed on God. When one’s heart is stayed on God, one is imbued with the purity of Christly love, and his life is a moral light in a world of darkness.
“To maintain perfect peace in one’s thought and life requires eternal vigilance.”
